It’s not too early to register for the Remodelers’ Show, which will be held in the revitalized city of Detroit. Just think, the earlier you register, the greater your chance to win a one-year lease on a Dodge Ram truck. Three drawings will be held between June and September, and those who don’t win the first drawing will be included in subsequent drawings.

Can you believe that this is the 10th year for the Remodelers’ Show, which began in Pittsburgh? Throughout the years, the show has been held in Baltimore, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Chicago and Philadelphia. Each city imbued its own flavor to the show. Detroit - just four miles from the Canadian border - is the world’s auto capital and the home of Motown. The Michigan homebuilders and remodelers will ensure we’ll get a hearty greeting from the cityfolk.

This year, 15,000 attendees are expected. The convention will be held in Cobo Hall, which features 120,000 square feet of exhibit space. A first-time, on-floor competition between remodelers and vocational winners will draw a crowd - and you can be part of the competition. The keynote speaker will be Keith Harrell, the popular motivational speaker who promises to energize everyone!

Be sure to check out the newly created Scheduling Seminars featuring seven different tracks that have special interest for owners, managers, estimators, salespeople and sales managers, and production staff. Programs will cover technical questions and answers, sales and marketing, and business essentials. You and all your employees will come away from the show with thorough knowledge and renewed energy for your business. In addition to the new seven-grid system, you can learn from the featured programs, the Executive Workshop, and roundtable discussions. And as usual, the Oasis will be the place to meet, greet and relax with your peers.

Great events in the works include the CGR reception honoring our old and new graduates, a Remodelers Night Out at the exciting Henry Ford Museum, and the Remodelers Annual Gala and Awards Banquet featuring the CADRE awards and a brand new award for Continuing Service to the remodeling industry. Stay tuned for updates.

So why is it important for you and your company? With the new program, your employees will gain something from attending. And you will generate good will by inviting all of your company’s employees. Networking is always worthwhile - if not just for a good time - you might get a promotion! The education is TOPS: the show prides itself in cultivating experts in the field to bring you the newest, fullest information. These industry experts talk our language.

Make plans to attend the 10th annual Remodelers’ Show now and bring all your employees. The rewards for knowledge received, new product information obtained, and industry issues discussed will be worth 10 times the amount you spent for attending. See you there.
