Centura steel shingles can be installed over an existing asphalt roof. They’re coated with Fluropon paint, which deflects ultraviolet rays, the company says. Also, the shingles’ smooth surface helps shed snow. The shingles have a Class B fire rating and are available in six colors: black, charcoal, slate gray, forest green, federal blue and terra cotta.
