Energy Efficient Features Commonly Used by Remodelers

A survey conducted by the NAHB found that remodelers rank low-e windows as the most commonly used green feature in projects.

Nearly nine out of 10 remodelers surveyed said they had common used low-e windows during the past year. 

Also on the list of green products and practices most commonly used by remodelers were high-efficiency HVAC systems (73 percent), programmable thermostats (72 percent), Energy Star appliances (71 percent) and ceiling fans (66 percent).
