Endeavor Business Media announces the acquisition of a portfolio of construction related events from Scranton Gillette Communications, including the ProBuilder Show Village, Women in Residential+Commercial Construction Conference, and the Pro+Connect series of hosted buyer events. Three media brands covering the building and construction industry were also acquired: Professional Builder, ProRemodeler, and Building Design+Construction. These event and media brands solidify Endeavor’s position as the market leader in the Buildings & Construction sector, strengthening the existing portfolio with expanded coverage of the residential construction market. Nick Curci of Corporate Solutions in Westport, Connecticut, was the exclusive advisor to Scranton Gillette Communications in arranging, structuring, and negotiating this transaction.
“We are thrilled to welcome these well-respected events and media brands to our growing organization,” said Chris Ferrell, CEO of Endeavor Business Media. ” The acquisition of these assets from Scranton Gillette nearly doubles the size of our Buildings & Construction group and strengthens our ability to serve every facet of the building construction and design market. These brands enhance our ability to provide professionals in the buildings, construction, and facilities sectors with the most comprehensive content while offering our marketing partners access to a broader audience of key decision-makers and purchasers.”
The Scranton Gillette Communications brands will join Endeavor’s Buildings & Construction group, which is comprised of over 15 media, event, and continuing education brands that serve engineers, designers, architects, and contractors who are designing, building, and keeping the buildings we live in, work in, and play in comfortable, operational, and efficient. More than 30 Scranton Gillette employees will join the Endeavor team, including 12 experienced journalists covering the building and construction industry.
“The acquisition of these leading residential construction brands and events by Endeavor will provide strategic leverage for their continued growth and success. I am delighted that these iconic brands and teams will be joining the strong Endeavor Buildings & Construction Portfolio to forge a group that is clearly the industry leader,” said Ed Gillette, President & CEO of Scranton Gillette Communications.
