Process innovations: A big part of my whole professional life, I’ve been really into systems and systems that make the lives of my co-workers or employees or anyone, easier and more simple. One of the first things I ever did when I got here was redefine our design package process. We were using a certain program to put these design packages together, and I found a more efficient way. It then snowballed into the marketing portion, and kind of caused ripple effects throughout a whole bunch of our other processes. Our binder system I created is basically everything in that project that you could possibly imagine written down in the finest amount of detail. The production guys are going to do what they think is best, which may not necessarily be what a designer thinks is best. And it was really bridging the gap in communication between those two teams. Those guys have this to look back on, it’s like a spec sheet for the entire product. It really has just cut down on the amount of calls from the jobsite.
