Where We’re Innovating: Encouraging employees to get involved in peer groups. I took over as operations manager in 2012 and joined a local peer group of noncompeting businesses, before we eventually joined Remodelers Advantage. Being able to collaborate with peers and have others hold me accountable helps me improve both the business and myself.
Best Advice: You learn something from every person, be it the right way to do something or the wrong way. Learning from other people’s mistakes—and successes—is the least costly way to grow.
