Webinar: 20th-Century Home, 21st-Century Performance

Learn all about high-performance home renovations through The New American Remodel 2022.

April 4, 2022

Getting this 1963-built home from a HERS score of 115 to -28 and an Emerald certification from the National Green Building Standard was no simple task.

The mid-century modern design of the home was beautiful yet challenging to mechanicals. It took creative problem-solving, pivoting, and a careful selection of products, but performance consultant Drew Smith of Two Trails, remodeler Eric Gray of Designer Trade Services, and architect Phil Kean of Phil Kean Design Group brought the home’s performance down to impressive levels. Smith says it’s the second most efficient home he has worked on in his career, and in this webinar, he’ll share just how they did it.
