Online tools offer advice for remodelers.
- Guerrilla Marketing Online, www.gmarketing.com, provides essential marketing advice with weekly articles and daily updates. Tales from the Front Lines features readers’ "ideas of marketing genius" that remodelers can use for their own marketing plans. Subscribe to the Guerrilla Communique and receive a new marketing idea daily via email.
- Visit the APA Engineered Wood Association’s site, www.apawood.org, for technical notes that include a table showing minimum ventilation requirements for attics and crawl spaces based on the CABO One- and Two-family Dwelling Code. A ventilation checklist is also provided for use in evaluating an existing building showing signs of unusual moisture.
- If you’ve ever considered setting up an online discussion group for fellow remodelers, Egroups, www.egroups.com, provides the means. It offers an integrated package of free net services for effective group communication. You can easily disseminate information, make plans and schedule events, and members can participate either via standard email or by using the site’s Web interface. There’s no software to download, and best of all--it’s spam-free.
