Petrified Wood Tile

Available in 12-by-24-inch, 12-by-12-inch, and custom slabs, Ann Sacks Petrified Wood Field Tiles are composed entirely of fossilized wood. The unique line comes in two patterns, Log, displaying growth rings, and Retro, a mosaic of smaller pieces, and in several colors (Log, Antique Red, shown).

Drywall Framing

The QuikStix Total Drywall Framing Solution from Armstrong is a pre-engineered drywall grid system that cuts installation time in half compared with conventional wood framing, the company says. Measuring, cutting, spacing, and nailing are eliminated thanks to a track that locks framing tees into place. Designed for use on ceilings, walls, and soffits, QuikStix is largely made of recycled materials.

Direct-Vent Gas Fireplace

Astria’s Montebello DLX direct-vent gas fireplace features ceramic glass for optimum heat transfer, tall dancing flames, a seamless, built-in look, adjustable flame height, and premium, split-oak log set and beautiful glowing embers to replicate the look of a real wood fire. Intermittent pilot ignition includes battery backup. Optional andirons provide further customization. Available in a choice of four realistic ceramic brick fireplace liners.

Advance Finish

Designed for cabinets, doors, and trim, Benjamin Moore’s Advance paints feature a 100 percent alkyd formula developed with proprietary new resins that keep VOCs low even after tinting. The paint flows and levels like a traditional alkyd with the extended open time required to achieve high-end finishes. Available as a primer, or in satin, semi-gloss, and high gloss finishes in unlimited colors.

LED Downlights

High-efficiency Halo LED HL6 All-Slope Downlights from Cooper Lighting are designed for sloped ceilings with a 10-degree to 45-degree pitch. The system features 6-inch housings available in 1,200 lumens or 1,800 lumens, with a complete line of compatible trims. Available in a choice of four color temperatures, the HL6 downlight delivers up to 90 lumens per watt with a color rendering index of 90.

Wood Flooring

With a selection of engineered and solid-wood flooring, Country Wood Flooring offers wire-brushed and oil-finished planks to emphasize the natural depth and character of the material. The company preselects the raw logs and supervises kiln dry processing before milling and finishing, with standards and grades that exceed the industry standard.

Custom Fireplace

DaVinci Custom Fireplaces modules are assembled on site, so that long fireplaces can easily get into the house. The exhaust vent can be run 150 feet horizontally and 6 feet below the unit, so installers can punch it through the floor and along a joist bay to the outside. Zero clearance means that framing can be put against the box and drywall brought up to the glass. Available in many configurations.

LED Lighting System

The Loox LED lighting system by Häfele is a fully flexible, customizable solution for task, accent, and ambient lighting. In addition to modular puck lighting and recessed and flush-mounted fixtures, there are now flexible strip options as well. The line also features a range of switching options and an array of new mounting extrusions.

Metallic-Look Slabs

The Metalli collection by Laminam offers large-scale, ultra-thin (3 mm) ceramic slabs reminiscent of age-old materials such as iron, brass, copper, and bronze. Distributed in the U.S. by Crossville, the light-reflective tile is suitable for external cladding and interior applications including countertops, doors, and walls and is available in five metallic-looking colors.

Attic Stairway

Made from aluminum sliding sections, the Marwin One-Touch Electric Attic Stairway allows easy access to the attic with the touch of a button. With a duty rating of 500 pounds, the stairway can reach ceiling heights of up to 14 feet and comes completely assembled in a choice of three rough-opening widths. The Energy Star-compliant door is insulated and weather-stripped.

Corner Beads

Four nontraditional corner beads from Trim-Tex are offered as part of its 11 Ways to Finish a Corner series. Step A Bull and Niche Bead are exclusive Trim-Tex corner beads ideal for creating decorative finishes on soffits or around windows and doors. Bullnose Beads are made from rigid vinyl, making them dent-proof and easy to install. The Reveal Corner Bead creates the look of drywall layers without needing to install a second sheet.
