On this episode of Remodeling Mastery, host Mark Richardson picks Thought Leader Michael Anschel's brain on how the remodeling industry will look post-covid from the perspective of the consumers, the projects and products, and the actual renovation process. Anschel is President of
Otogawa-Anschel Design + Build.
"Humans tend to put things off until there's this cliff's edge moment that pushes a reaction out of us," Anschel says. Now, Anschel says that homeowners are moving forward with updates that they put off before the pandemic: air quality monitors, extensive interior and exterior remodels, and the addition of ADUs to projects. Some homeowners are even moving down the street to larger homes after confronting the limitations of their old house.
Richardson and Anschel discuss three areas:
1. Consumer
2. Projects
3. Process of remodeling
Listen to the full episode to hear Anschel and Richardson's takes on how the pandemic will transform remodeling–or at least shift it closer.
