Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt Honors Winning Recipients at 2014 Platinum Preferred Contractor Awards

Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt recognized the industry’s most distinguished professionals at its 2014 Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Preferred Contractor Celebration. This annual event celebrated the 18 Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Preferred Contractors who have demonstrated exceptional market-leading business initiatives that advance the roofing industry.

“Each of this year’s Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Preferred Contractor Award winners elevates the roofing industry through their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their business,” said Matt Roth, Director of Contractor Services, Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt. “Every award winner honored today has an inspiring success story that highlights a results-oriented, customer-driven approach to running their business and epitomizes why Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractors are truly preferred by homeowners.” 

The Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Advisory Board reviewed each nationally nominated candidate and selected one category-leading recipient for each of the top three coveted award categories:

• Industry Stewardship Award – Deer Park Roofing of Cincinnati, Ohio, was honored for the third consecutive year as the 2014 recipient of the coveted Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Industry Stewardship Award for creating a new industry benchmark through their ongoing contributions to local and national programs and initiatives.  Deer Park Roofing actively contributes value on a national level to the building materials industry through their local work in the residential and commercial sectors in the Ohio Valley, as well as the introduction of Deer Park University to collaborating with the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and the development of the ProForeman educational initiative.
• Spirit Award – Arnold’s Home Improvement, of Toledo, Ohio, was recognized for its unwavering commitment to integrity, respect, accountability and innovation. The Spirit Platinum Award brings a national spotlight to the tradition of excellence Arnold’s Home Improvement has established through its exceptional values-driven business practices and customer-inspired solutions.
• Bright Future Award – Red River Roofing Companies, Inc. of Tulsa, Okla., earned the coveted “Bright Future” recognition for the company’s remarkable business growth in its first year as part of the Owens Corning™ Roofing Platinum Preferred Roofing Contractor. The significant growth in 2013 is credited to Red River Roofing Companies, Inc. commitment to market-leading performance and innovation. 

The award celebration also recognized Platinum Preferred Contractor award recipients in three additional business categories, including:

2014 Shingle Recycling Volume Award: The award recipients in the category represent the five companies that achieved the highest volume of recycled roofing material through participation in the Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt Shingle Recycling Program. Each of these companies successfully delivered cost-effective shingle recycling solutions to their customers by diverting tear-off roofing materials from landfills.
