Best practice: Dale’s Remodeling is transitioning from a traditional, Boomer male-owned remodeling firm to a Millennial female-run company. Part of that change can be seen in the marketing. When Kayla took it over, her goals were to add coherent branding and a sense of sophistication. She created a consistent color palette and fonts so the company would have clear visual messaging across all materials. She also invested in high-quality photographs, and learned Photoshop, which allows her to work with the images if needed. Kayla’s digital strategy includes regular blogging and an increased presence on Houzz and other social media sites. The campaign is rounded out with articles contributed to local publications, offering readers ideas for remodeling projects.
