Lead Project Designer
Hatfield Builders & Remodelers, Plano, Texas
Age 32
2015 Revenue: $3.1 million
Best practice: Hatfield Builders & Remodelers needed a better way to keep the team on the same page, both with one another and with the homeowner—especially for whole-house remodels. To address that need, Amanda developed a specifications document containing photos and a description of every product to be used in the remodel. It’s organized by room, so that the team in the field can tell, for example, which faucet belongs in which bathroom when they receive a large shipment of products. The specs document is attached to the contract. Amanda also added elevations and other details to the plans, providing project managers with more information in the field.
