The NHQ Awards presentation kicked off the One Night, One Industry event at Rain in the Desert at the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on the Sunday before the International Builders' Show.

In November, the Maryland Improvement Contractors Association handed out its 2003 Remodelers of the Year Awards at a ceremony at The Center Club in the Legg Mason Building in Baltimore. Awards were given in 11 categories.
