Each year, the premier industry event, the National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders’ Show (IBS) features two homes as flagship exhibits: The New American Home and The New American Remodel. For 2023, the remodeled home will be an exclusive, immersive virtual experience.
The New American Remodel (TNAR) will make its debut during IBS, Jan. 31 – Feb. 2, 2023, when attendees can access both a virtual tour as well as a video tour. IBS has returned to Las Vegas for 2023, but TNAR is located a short distance away from last year’s remodel in Winter Park, Fla.
The one-of-a-kind immersive virtual tour is a joint effort between the virtual tour firms Scena and Openhaus that will offer visitors a 3D experience of the home. Users will also have the opportunity to navigate the home at their own pace via their laptop, desktop, or mobile device.
In collaboration with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Structure Productions, and SGC Horizon, there will be five segment-specific videos of TNAR 2023 on display at the Pro Builder Show Village in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Center Hall.
The videos will provide attendees with a high-level, TV show-style tour highlighting the home’s innovative products and high-performance capabilities. Phil Kean, owner of Phil Kean Design Group, a nationally recognized and award-winning firm specializing in luxury-contemporary residential architecture, is overseeing the project.
The remodeled home retains its five bedrooms, five full baths, and three half baths, and adds 200 square feet of new living space while enhancing the interior and exterior living features.
The home will boast a luxurious outdoor kitchen and a fully renovated, detached two-story guest house. It presents a unique opportunity for the NAHB Leading Suppliers Council to showcase the transformation of a remodeled home through a virtual platform.
