New to the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) this year are three special areas: the Home Tech Zone, New Product Zone, and Startup Zone, designed to showcase leading-edge products and ideas.
These special exhibition areas will be particularly relevant to the ever-changing remodeling industry. Remodelers attending IBS will get an early look at new products and building methods that can help them deliver a product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
The Home Tech Zone
Attendees will learn what is critical and achievable when it comes to smart home technology, including the importance of developing a home tech strategy, when to rely on an integrator, and how to leverage home tech as a company asset and sales driver.
The Zone will offer nearly two dozen interactive demonstrations and expert panels exploring the most in-demand products, but equally important, the design and infrastructure requirements for preparing and installing these technologies. Remodelers will see real-world examples of how they are installed and work, as well as the benefits for the home and clients.
Serving as host of the Home Technology Stage is nationally recognized kitchen designer Eric Goranson. Best known as the host of the national radio show “Around the House with Eric G” and the “Pro Insider” podcast, Goranson has managed thousands of projects and is a respected voice in the remodeling industry.
The New Product Zone
Located at the entrance to the South Hall of Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), the New Product Zone is a must-see. In some cases, these products are so new that they haven’t hit the market yet. This is a must for early adopters and remodelers who want to stay ahead of the industry and boost their project’s wow factor.
The Startup Zone
This Zone features some of the most innovative start-ups in the residential construction industry—companies bringing to market ideas that may change the way we build homes and do business. Each company is hand-selected and given an exclusive platform to showcase how their product can transform the industry. The Startup Zone will be next to the New Product Zone, near the entrance to the OCCC South Hall.
The New Product Zone, Home Tech Zone, and Startup Zone will give remodelers who attend IBS an early look at ideas that could shape the industry for years to come.
Attend to get a glimpse of the future for remodeling yourself.
