The 2020 Extreme Sales Summit just closed on a new format. This year, it will be live and connected on the interactive platform Pathable.

As a result of the pandemic, many live events have been forced online, but instead of seeing the new ESS format as a setback, Mark Richardson, author, industry expert, and one of the ESS organizers, sees this as an opportunity to transform the way events are run.

“The biggest thing that I’m most excited about is that it’s a different experience,” Richardson says. “If we’re successful, I think people won’t want to get onto an airplane again if they can get the same—or better content—online.”

A new, interactive platform for the 2020 Extreme Sales Summit

That interactivity of the Pathable  platform sets it apart from some of the other virtual events that have cropped up since the pandemic hit. Instead of a simple webinar, attendees will be able to choose their track,  participate in fun, casual online events, see their own custom schedule, interact with other attendees and speakers, and then go back and rewatch the content–even once the conference has ended. And the flexibility gained by an online format allows a greater number of professionals and speakers to attend, leading to more diverse educational content and networking opportunities.

“For the Extreme Sales Summit, we really concentrate on that sales process,” says Tony Mancini, group director-principal at SGC Horizon. “Everything is continuing to change in the market, and it's especially important to know what tactics are being used right now.”

The first day will kick off with keynotes from bestselling authors and national speakers. That will lead into three tracks: Home Improvement, Design and Full Service, and Sales. On the second day, attendees will be able to customize their experience with 20-30 specific topics within the three tracks. Day three will be focused on strategic roundtable discussions with other remodeling leaders to collaborate and elevate each company’s business.

“The online format will allow resources and content like they’ve never seen before,” says Richardson. “We’re going to have round table groups, discussion topics...and they can do all that without getting on the plane.”
