Simpson Strong-Tie’s Strong-Wall SB shearwall can be used for applications including standard, portal, two-story stacked, balloon-framing, and rake-wall. It is field-trimmable and fastens to headers with drill zones and has a chase for wiring. The shearwall features Strong Frame, a lateral system designed to prevent earthquake damage, and Steel Strong-Wall for heavy industrial loads. Available in sizes from 12-inch-by-7-feet to 24-inch-by-20-feet, the Strong-Wall SB is compliant with the 2012 International Building Code and the City of Los Angeles building code.
