Manufacturers typically use industry trade shows to highlight new and recent product releases. Here are nine entries that caught our eye this October in Baltimore at The Remodeling Show/Deck Expo. For more new product releases, see our IBS/KBIS product review in the January 2015 issue.
When Boral’s True Exterior trim debuted in 2013, it launched a new material category—PolyAsh, a blend of recycled polymers and fly ash. Now the company has added siding. The TruExterior Siding Craftsman Collection offers a variety of authentic, full-thickness profiles with the look of wood siding. The composite has virtually no moisture cycling, and an expansion rate less than one-third that of PVC. Compatible with silicone or acrylic caulking, the material can be coated with acrylic latex paint.
