Made of 60% hardwood sawdust and 40% polypropylene plastic, CorrectDeck can be cut, drilled and fastened like wood using standard tools and nongalvanized decking screws. It resists rot and insects as well as slipping, the company says, and has a wood-grain appearance. It comes in standard decking sizes and three colors: gray, cedar and natural, which weathers to tan after two weeks and a light silver-gray after 12-16 weeks.
