The Vinyl Building Council (VBC), a self-funded business council of the Vinyl Institute, has brought on board Kate Offringa as the group’s first executive director. Offringa will oversee the VBC’s strategic direction and operational excellence as the council coordinates the vinyl industry’s federal and state advocacy in the building and construction sectors.
Prior to joining the VBC, Offringa served as the president and CEO of the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association, where over the past five years she delivered dramatic market growth opportunities for NAIMA members. A key focus of her efforts was to increase the insulation industry’s visibility and influence with Congress, the Administration, and the States. Prior to becoming NAIMA’s president and CEO, Offringa serviced as the association’s vice president of public affairs, a role that will serve the interests of the VBC on behalf of the vinyl industry. Offringa also served as the director of market transformation with the Alliance to Save Energy. PR
