The last few years have been an unprecedented challenge for most remodeling firms. Some companies, though, have found a way to thrive. The six firms profiled below each have forged strategies that pulled them from the brink of disaster. What the companies have in common is that none has a magic formula that is outrageous or overly innovative. Mostly, the firms have gone back to the basics, circled the wagons and tightened up their organizations.
