When HammerSmith, a design/build firm in Decatur, Ga., reached its 10th anniversary this year, owner Warner McConaughey decided to celebrate in a highly visible fashion. Calling upon former clients, he offered a $25 donation to the charity of their choice in exchange for putting a HammerSmith job sign on their lawn. Eighty clients agreed to do so for a month.
